Just like in-person consultations, you should prepare before your online consultations too. Here's your handy guide to having a smooth video consultation experience using the Doctor Anywhere app.

1. Know how to connect with your doctor

Your doctor will connect with you exclusively through the Doctor Anywhere app. They will NOT call you on your phone or through other messaging apps like Viber, WhatsApp, or Messenger.

Make sure to open the Doctor Anywhere app at your scheduled appointment time.

2. Be prepared

On-demand consultations on the Doctor Anywhere app allow you to speak to a licensed doctor within 5 minutes. With this short waiting time, we encourage you to be as detailed as you can.

You can also upload relevant medical records before the call to help the doctor understand your situation.

3. Be on time

For scheduled appointments, log in at the exact time of your call. You will see a clickable “Join Call Now” button at your scheduled time.

If you enter the room late, your doctor may assume that you are not joining the session. As such, late patients may be tagged as no-shows, and you would have to reschedule your appointment.

4. Avoid multiple bookings

Our doctors are always here for you, so don’t worry about finding a doctor who can attend to your concerns.

Please book one appointment per doctor at a time for the same medical concern to avoid appointment cancellations with other doctors.

5. Cancel or reschedule when needed

If you cannot attend your scheduled consultation, please cancel or reschedule as soon as possible.

This helps other patients get earlier appointment slots and ensures our doctors' time is used efficiently. This way, other patients may book the same doctor at your previous time slot.

6. Pick a quiet environment

When it’s time to meet with your doctor, it’s recommended that you take the call in a quiet room where you can hear and see each other properly.

This will ensure smooth communication and allow your doctor to diagnose or explain possible conditions accurately.

7. Check your internet connection

The Doctor Anywhere app has a network test option in the settings. For best results, ensure that you are not experiencing network interruptions on the day of your consultation. Network problems may cause you or the doctor to have difficulty seeing or hearing each other, which could impact the quality of your teleconsultation.

8. Dress Appropriately

Wear appropriate attire as though you were visiting a clinic or hospital.

Refrain from wearing tank tops, beachwear or swimwear, sleepwear, or no clothes at all!

9. Prepare your ID

We will need to verify your identity at the start of the video consultation. Please have your identification card (ID) ready for the verification process.

No prescription, referral, or medical certificate can be issued to anyone who is not using a real identity or assuming a false identity.

10. Enable app notifications

Make sure to turn on push notifications for the Doctor Anywhere app in your phone settings.

This ensures you'll receive important reminders about upcoming appointments, consultation updates, prescription notifications, and other essential healthcare communications.
